With the publishing of Fifty Shades of Grey in 2011 by the author E L James, erotic fiction suddenly became more acceptable and a genre of book that could be read anywhere; not stuffed in the back of the wardrobe and read only behind closed doors. Talking about what erotica we read and reading in public however is still frowned upon by many and it shouldn’t be!
The Sex Me Up Readathon is a celebration of erotic fiction and i’m proud to be joining in. I have dusted off a few of the books from the back of my bookcase and I very much look forward to reading and reviewing them – you can find my book list below.
The idea of the readathon isn’t a race to read more books than anyone else but to enjoy and talk about the thrilling, exciting, hot and underwear-wetting world of erotic fiction.
