Weekly Round-Up – 12.10.14

Hello! It feels so odd to have missed writing a weekly round-up last week. Instead, I published a Book Blitz post for a much-awaited debut novel by a new author, Nikki Kelly; Lailah. This book was published on Tuesday 7th October and I was extremely excited to have it delivered to my Kindle that morning. I read it. I loved it. The review should be up within the next few days – well, when I can adequately put the book into words; I’m still feeling the book hangover!

Anyhow, this past week I’ve been away from home and was lucky enough to spend a few days in the beautiful Hay-On-Wye. This town is near the England/Wales border and most famous for its 25-ish bookshops and annual Literary Festival. Given that it was nearing the end of the season, the shelves were looking a little bare but it was great to be so surrounded with books! I was very good and only brought back 2 books from my travels – you can find these down the bottom in my ‘Books Bought’ section.

Don’t forget to check out the end of this post too for some exciting happenings this week!
